Digital Stopwatch. Since the LCD came with the kit broke, we replaced it with a $8.50 LCD with backlight but it requires soldering. The original LCD for this kit would have cost us $30 plus shipping and it does not come with backlight.

Increasing earpiece volume on Motorola SLVR L7

image

I feel nerdy…………

What did I do to the phone today:

  • Increase earpiece volume during calls.
  • Set speed dial 1 to call voicemail.
  • Remove “Google” quick link from the menu.

You can customize a lot of phone functions with this software.

* twitter-wordpress test * ignore *

as mentioned in title.

Sony Ericsson w810i Teardown.

I bought a cheap eBay housing to replace my current one for $7. I can say that the quality isn’t as good as the original housing. I found some listings selling the original housing for $30, but since it is an old phone, I will give the $7 housing a try.

image
Side by side, the font is not as sharp as the original one. The plastic sover for the LCD isn’t as good either. It is thinner, hence not as flat to the front face plate. The plastic housing gets scratched easily too.

image
The fonts are not as sharp. Yes, I taped my battery because I lost the cover. The battery easily pops out without the cover.

Remove the 2 screws and peel the back cover.

image
Remove the other 2 screws and peel the front cover. You can see how dirty is my phone.

The whole phone disassembled.

Sleep paralysis

In Chinese culture, sleep paralysis is widely known as "鬼壓身/鬼压身" (pinyin: guǐ yā shēn) or "鬼壓床/鬼压床" (pinyin: guǐ yā chuáng), which literally translate into "ghost pressing on body" or "ghost pressing on bed." A more modern term is "夢魘/梦魇" (pinyin: mèng yǎn).

I never experienced this before as far as I can remember. Hmm….

Hoax: Facebook will send $1 to Haiti

This status is being tracked, the owners of facebook have confirmed they will send $1 to the rescue fund for the Haiti earthquake disaster for everytime this is cut and paste as a status. You only have to leave it for a minimum of 1 hour. Lets all do our bit to help – 請把上面的文字 copy/paste 到你的現況分享並至少保留一個小時, FB 會統計這些發布的現況, 每一則現況 FB 會相對捐出美金一元給海地地震救災基金

When will people actually learn, that this are hoaxes? If it is really from facebook, they will have sent the message or posted in on facebook themselves. Plus, there is not a source listed at all pointing to the original message.

Any Tom, Dick & Harry could have wrote this message.

Scalar Energy Pendants?

What is Scalar Energy.

I have no freaking idea what this is, but looking at videos on Youtube, I have alot of questions running through my head.

Video 1: The most common video about scalar energy, 4 person will attempt to lift a person without and with this pendant.

Who is this person lifted?
Will it be easier or harder if the person lifted, tenses his/her muscle?
Why not lift a freaking ball of steel?

Video 2: The person tries to burn himself with a lighter while wearing a pendant.

Why don’t he use a blue flame? Yellow flame isn’t hot.
Why is he spreading the flame around his face. Why not just on spot?

Video 3: Then there is, ice cube on pendant melts faster than ice cube on table.

Aren’t they different materials?
Why do you think heat sinks/cold sink exist?

Video 4: Better balance with the pendant? People pushing, etc etc

Why not try it on Wii Fit? If your balance is so good, prove it on the Wii Fit.
What angle are they pushing? One minute, they “pull” you backwards throwing you out of balance “martial arts” style. When you put on the pendant, they might not be making you out of balance.

Video 5: Gold fish in water. Increasing oxygen with scalar pendants.

How much oxygen did it increase?
Why not measure it with oxygen measuring device?

Video 6: Turn as much as you can.

Funny, I think I can turn way more than him on the pendant.

Some how I still believe this is a placebo effect.
